Poppy Press Studio is a boutique letterpress and design studio based in west Michigan

We print by hand on an antique printing press. The process is slow and intentional and results in paper with an impression you can't find just anywhere.

Behind the press

I'm Mary Olgeirsson, the one-woman team behind Poppy Press Studio: designer, printer, emailer and occasional social media manager.

Mama by day and printer by night, my husband and I call Kalamazoo Michigan home. We have two crazy cats and a little garden overrun with strawberries.

I was drawn to letterpress printing because it allows me to work with my hands and get a bit messy. I can’t get enough of the smell of the ink, the sounds of the press. The process of creating is just as beautiful as the result.
